Adaptimmune Therapeutics Plc has appointed Giles Kerr as an independent non-executive director and member of the audit committee following the decision by Ian Laing to retire from the board on 31 December. Mr Kerr has been director of finance at the University of Oxford since 2005. Previously, he was chief financial officer and member of the board of Amersham Plc until its acquisition by GE Healthcare in 2004. Mr Kerr is an economics graduate of the University of York in the UK and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Adaptimmune announced the appointment on 27 October 2016.
