Sir Tom McKillop, the former chief executive officer of AstraZeneca Plc, has been nominated to the board of directors of Evolva Holding SA of Switzerland. Sir Tom led AstraZeneca from April 1999, when the company was created from a merger between Astra AB in Sweden and the Zeneca Group Plc in the UK, until his retirement in 2005. Prior to this, he was chief executive of Zeneca Pharmaceuticals. Evolva is also nominating two other industry experts to its board. They are Claus Braestrup, former president and CEO of H. Lundbeck A/S, and Nicole Dubois, a strategy and management consultant for the healthcare industry. Located in Reinach, Evolva is developing small compounds for renal, cardiovascular and other diseases.
