Paul Thompson, an expert in neurology, has been promoted to be vice president for clinical development at Mission Therapeutics Ltd, which is developing drugs for fibrosis and neurodegenerative diseases. He joined Mission in 2016 as medical director for central nervous system disorders.
Dr Thompson has over 15 years of experience in translational research and early clinical development having worked at ONO Pharma UK as clinical science director and at GlaxoSmithKline Plc as director of discovery medicine in neurology. He holds an MBiochem from the University of Oxford and a PhD in immuno and cell biology from University College London.
Mission Therapeutics announced the appointment on 1 March 2018.
