Medigene AG of Germany has appointed Dolores Schendel, the former managing director of Trianta Immunotherapies GmbH, as its chief scientific officer effective 1 May. Medigene acquired Trianta in January 2014.
Dr Schendel has been director of the Institute of Molecular Immunology of the German Research Center for Environmental Health and has held an adjunct professorship in immunology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Her research focuses on human immunology and immunotherapy.
Medigene announced the appointment on 30 April 2014.
