Julia Goodfellow to become chair of the British Science Association

Julia Goodfellow has been appointed chair of the British Science Association, a charity established in 1831 to promote science and technology across Britain. She replaces Patrick Dowling, former vice chancellor of the University of Surrey.

Professor Goodfellow is vice chancellor of the University of Kent and was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2001 for her services to biophysics.
