Beatriz Rendón, formerly chief business officer at the Tucson Arizona Unified School District in the US, has been appointed director of strategic alliances at the Critical Path Institute (C-Path) in Tucson. The C-Path Institute is a publicly-funded, non-profit research organisation which is working with the pharmaceutical industry, academia and the US Food and Drug Administration to make the drug development process more efficient.
In her new role, Ms Rendón will oversee the development of collaborations with public and private organisations both nationally and internationally.
Ms Rendón holds a law degree from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
