Bicycle Therapeutics Ltd has announced the appointment of Andy Sandham as non-executive chairman. The Cambridge, UK-based company is working on therapeutics which are smaller than antibodies, but have features of both antibodies and small molecules. Mr Sandham, who has more than 30 years’ experience building biotechnology businesses in Europe and the US will work closely with Bicycle Therapeutics’ founders, Sir Gregory Winter and Christian Heinis. Mr Sandham was a founder and executive of Cantab Pharmaceuticals, Hexagen, Signature BioScience and Ionix Pharmaceuticals and currently holds the role of chairman and CEO of Kymab.
Bicycle Therapeutics has also announced the appointment of Bruce Booth to the board, replacing Regina Hodits as the Atlas Venture representative director.
