Michael Moore has joined the board of directors of Mission Therapeutics Ltd of the UK as executive chairman. Dr Moore has more than two decades of senior management experience in the biotechnology sector, recently as chief executive of Piramed, a bioscience company acquired by F Hoffmann-La Roche in 2008. He has also been chief scientific officer of Xenova Group Plc. He is currently a member of the Cancer Research UK science committee.
Concurrently, Fritz Frickel has joined the Mission board as a non-executive director. Dr Frickel is an independent advisor to venture capital firms, biotech start-ups and universities. He was acting chief executive of Alantos Pharmaceuticals Holding Inc when that company was acquired by Amgen Inc in 2007.
Mission Therapeutics announced the appointments on 1 October 2012.
